People Are Talking

We’re luck to have wonderful customers who like to share their feedback with us. Here are some nice things people have to say about Madison’s Grill. Drop us a line to let us know what you think.

Dave Stevens, Stevens Integrated Solutions:

When we were looking for a venue to hold our open house event we considered 2 important variables: 1) Close-in proximity to our customers and downtown Portland that had ample free parking; and 2) A facility that offered enough space along with food and beverage services on site.

Steve Brown and Madison’s Grill met these variables and more. Steve’s staff was great to work with, provided a variety of great food and beverages, and had everything organized and ready to go the day of our event. I would definitely recommend Madison’s for your next event. It is safe to say they will be an asset to you as well as a big help in planning, preparing and performing when you need it most.

Terry Taylor, Central Eastside Industrial Council:

Every time the Central Eastside Industrial Council (CEIC) uses Madison’s for one our events, the compliments start rolling in.  We appreciate how accommodating you are to our needs and our members love the food, the easy-access location, and unlike downtown venues – lots of FREE parking! Whether it’s our monthly Lunch and Learns with 30 people or our Quarterly Meetings which can exceed 100 people, without a doubt, Madison’s is the perfect place for our organization.  Many of our speakers also comment on the perfect layout for presentations as well as the excellent acoustics.

Steve, count the CEIC as one of Madison’s biggest fans!  Thank you so much for helping make each of our events a success. Much obliged for your hospitality!

Cindy McCasker, Portland Velo Cycling Club

As the Events Coordinator for Portland Velo Cycling Club, I have enjoyed working with Steve Brown at Madison’s Grill and will continue to do so!  Steve has been so accommodating to the club’s needs be it working within our budget, special catering requests or accommodating our growing club membership.   He has always gone over and beyond just handling the catering. He really rolls up his sleeves to help set up the event, making great suggestions and organizing his team to make a great event happen. I never had to worry about anything and Steve is very fun to work with as well!

Last year we decided to add a fall party very spontaneously and WOW Steve came through with awesome food, music and our members had a fantastic time. This event was pulled together quickly and went off without a hitch. I already have a 2012 event planned and Steve has already been contacted!

Jalene Brooks, KINK FM102

Steve Brown and the staff of Madison’s Grill are terrific!  The catering they have provided KINK fm102 for our KINK LIVE PERFORMANCE LOUNGE and KINK Live Concert is exceptional.  It is always a pleasure to work with this professional, courteous and creative company.

My brother refers to me as “Un-American” because of my distaste for breakfast foods (I HATE BACON).. So usually when going out with my friends, I’m that “are you serving lunch also?” person at the table. Madison’s is my exception. I love their mad scramble (with avacado instead of bacon), their biscuits and gravy, even the chicken fried steak. You cannot go wrong with anything on this menu. The staff is always awesome as well!

Most of all, we come here for the mimosas…It’s still not a bad deal, you get 3 for $7. Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

I recommend getting there before 11, it gets pretty crowded after that with the large families and groups of young people with that “I shouldn’t have mixed whiskey, tequila and beer last night” look on their faces.

Best brunch I’ve had in Portland so far! I just moved here & I am so excited about the plethora of brunch joints around town. The appearance of this particular restaurant conveyed a generic all-American feel, but the food & service surpassed my expectations of greasy mediocrity.

A friend invited me to join him for brunch at Madison’s this past Sunday morning. He’s a big fan of the almost-bottomless mimosas (as I am now as well!) and he wanted to show me a new neighborhood so this spot was perfect.

I had the Eggs on the Green, a vegetarian eggs Benedict with perfectly-cooked asparagus and the nicest hollandaise sauce I’ve ever had – not too rich or greasy. The side of fresh fruit was delightful & the mimosas were delicious. My friend had the blueberry-goat-cheese-stuffed French toast. I tried a bite and loved it! And the syrup was real, legit maple syrup… Yum!

On top of the great food, the service was awesome & the price was just right. I’ll be back soon!

I have been going here for 15 years?..I have never had a service or food issue.  The food is good, portions are big, the service is solid.  It is the best place to have a business lunch in the Central Eastside.  Good knowing you will have a quality meal
